Kendall and Matt’s Hotel Blackhawk Wedding was a celebration to remember. There were ice luges, champagne towers, fireworks on the dance floor and so much more. The hotel has a beautiful marble staircase right when you enter. I thought this would be a magical place for Kendall and Matt’s first look. For this setup, I’m glad I had a second shooter so that we could capture both reactions well with the layout of the staircase. These first look photos are some of my favorite photos from the day.

Another fun part of Kendall and Matt’s wedding day was hopping on the party bus after the ceremony with the wedding party and heading to Davenport’s premier speakeasy, The Garrison. This elevated, low lit space made for perfect cocktail hour photos.

After drinks at The Garrison, the wedding party headed back to the hotel and got ready for the grand entrance into the reception. The space was decorated absolutely beautifully. The event staff at the hotel is absolutely top notch and made sure all guests, and vendors, were well taken care of! I can’t stress enough how important it is to have a great staff at your wedding. The staff directly affects the experience of your guests. For this reason, I can’t recommend Hotel Blackhawk enough.
