Union Kansas City Wedding

One thing I love about being a photographer in Des Moines is how close I live to other amazing cities. A short drive to Kansas City this September made for a fantastic wedding day with Lauren and Drew. I met Lauren nearly a decade ago when we worked together for a custom apparel company. Fast forward 10 years and Lauren called me with the unfortunate news that her Kansas City wedding photographer wasn’t able to be there just one month before her wedding! 

Although my photography studio is based in Des Moines, I gladly accepted when Lauren asked me to step in as their wedding photographer. I looked forward to catching up with an old friend and I absolutely love visiting Kansas City! This was my first time shooting a wedding at UNION event space in Kansas City but I’m hoping it won’t be the last. 

UNION is a unique wedding and event venue in Kansas City with an unmatched historical charm. I thought it very fitting to be photographing at a wedding venue that used to serve as a film processing center in the 1930s. The rustic charm makes it such a fun KC wedding venue and I definitely hope to be back.
