welcome to the fam!
You’re officially in the books and you’ve checked off one more thing from your to-do list, congratulations! I’m so thankful to be your photographer, but it would be silly of me to not offer additional help however I can. I’ve seen any and everything in my career and I just got married in 2021, so I am even fresh to the wedding process on your end as well! Please save this link as a resource as you continue to plan and don’t ever hesitate to shoot me a text (574.202.3942) or email if you have any questions that I could help with!

what to expect
Let me first start by saying that if you didn’t originally book an engagement session but later, change your mind, please don’t hesitate to reach out and we’ll add a session to your collection! Typically, engagement sessions are 1 to 2 locations and 1 to 2 outfit options. We’ll work closely together to plan your engagement session. Are you just looking for a quick and easy session with a beautiful background? Say less, I’ll plan everything for us! Are you looking for a custom session that includes where you met, your favorite place to hang or an intimate in home session? We can do that as well. My goal with engagement sessions is to get to know you better while also showing you how EASY getting your photos taken can be to prep you for your wedding day!
what to wear
First off, feel free to wear absolutely whatever you’d like to your session, it’s YOUR session! That being said, I’ll speak to what tends to photograph best. Neutral palettes void of logos or writing create a timeless look that won’t date your photos. Additionally, layers and textures can add a stunning visual aesthetic! If you’re doing two locations, let’s plan to have one more formal look and one more casual look!

when to shoot
When thinking about when you’d like to schedule your session, think of the seasons. Winter snow shoot? Fall color leaves shoot? What works best for you two? Most of the time, we’ll start shooting about 90 minutes before sunset and shoot through the beautiful golden and blue hours!
