Photographing Lauren and Chris’ Renaissance Cleveland wedding was an absolute blast! The hotel rooms at the Renaissance are very large. This made it easy to move around in the morning. Additionally, the rooms have large windows, letting in large amounts of light for beautiful photos to be taken. There were fun splashes of color with accent chairs that we utilized for detail shots also. Once Lauren and Chris were ready, we headed to the Cathedral for the wedding ceremony…
The Cathedral is beautiful on both the inside and out. Photographing at the cathedral always makes for gorgeous ceremony images. Before heading back to the Renaissance, we took portraits at the Old Courthouse. The Old Courthouse has a regal presence that calls for dramatic lighting and elegant posing. I love photographing here because it requires a real knowledge of off-camera lighting and it’s always a fun challenge to create interesting images.
After we finished up at the Old Courthouse, we headed back for the Renaissance Cleveland wedding reception. This was my first reception at the Renaissance and I absolutely fell in love with the reception space. The lighting was great. The staff was great. Everything about the Renaissance was amazing! The space reminded me a lot of the reception space at the Intercontinental Hotel.
The reception space is beautiful. The staff is amazing. The cocktail hour room was just as beautiful as the reception space. It’s easy to block rooms off for your wedding guests. The food was delicious. Really, it was.
