Elizabeth, Bo and I strolled through downtown to capture their Manhattan engagement photos. We started our engagement session on the pier, shooting back toward Manhattan. It was a beautiful day to take some wide angle photos of Elizabeth and Bo while also capturing the Manhattan skyline.
Next up, Elizabeth and Bo showed me their adventurous side. They showed me a building that had a great rooftop for photos. There was a slight problem. We had to be residents of the building in order to get to the rooftop. We were sneaky and found our way up there and it was so worth it! The trees on the rooftop coupled with the skyline made for some gorgeous layered photos.
A New York City engagement session wouldn’t be complete without taking photos on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. We took a few photos on the bridge despite the huge crowd of pedestrians on this particular day. After the Brooklyn Bridge, we headed back for more Manhattan engagement photos. We found a park with nice greenery as well as awesome structures. The building had awesome pillars and archways. These made for great backdrops. We took some photos on a park bench. There wasn’t much foot traffic, so you almost can’t tell that you’re in New York City. Lastly, we found a fun red sculpture. We had fun playing with different ways to photograph with this.
We ended the session at the costume shop. Yes, you heard that right, the costume shop. The engagement session was actually on halloween day and the three of us all needed to get costumes so we went together. Do you have any ideas on what costumes each of us got?
