I couldn’t have been luckier than to kick off my 2019 wedding season with a perfect wedding at Loeb Boathouse in Central Park. Grace and Michael put together a flawless day, and I feel so grateful o have been there!
Getting to know my couples before their wedding is always a big priority for me, so I was fortunate for the chance to spend a lot of time with Grace and Michael during their epic engagement session. We got together and went around Manhattan and Brooklyn, taking a ton of photos and really getting to know each other along the way. It didn’t take long at all for that photo session to feel more like spending time with a pair of wonderful (and extremely photogenic) friends!
When this level of comfort and familiarity is reached before the wedding day even comes around, then my job becomes infinitely easier. We were able to walk into the magical Loeb Boathouse and start setting cameras, and from then on everything was as smooth as it could possibly be.
Once everything was prepped and ready, it was time for the first look. First looks are really exciting moments, and it’s so important to capture the exact instant the couple first get to see each other. I brought them outside to Bethesda Terrace, and the moment was unbelievably perfect!
After the portraits of the couple were complete, we brought the wedding party in to join us at the mall and Bethesda Terrace, then headed to the boathose to prepare for the beautiful ceremony. When the newlyweds walked back down the aisle they were greeted with applause and flower petals! It was a delightful thing to see, and made for some wonderfully unique images.
The reception was the perfect cap to the evening, filled with great speeches, wonderful food and some truly fun dance moves. It was a joyous day start to finish, and I hope you enjoy the photos!
Don’t forget to leave a comment on your favorite one, or take this as a chance to congratulate the beautiful newlyweds!
