What I love about photographing weddings at Carper Winery:
I typically start talking about the aesthetic features of venues but at Carper, I want to first point out that the staff is one of my favorite in all of Iowa. They are so friendly and accommodating to not just the couple, but their families, guests and vendors all the same. I get so excited every time I get to work at this venue.
Carper Winery is just minutes from Des Moines, making it super convenient for guests while still giving you that peaceful, tucked-away feel. It’s the best of both worlds—a scenic vineyard setting without the middle-of-nowhere logistics. The Fields
The fields at Carper Winery make for the perfect backdrop to your wedding ceremony. There are great views on all sides of the venue which makes it easy to move around based on what light the sun is giving us during portrait time.
The Willow Trees
Carper Winery let’s us take our car back into the fields and take photos by their large, beautiful willow trees by the pond. The light coming through these trees makes for warm and romantic portraits. This is a great place to retreat to with your spouse for a few minutes to enjoy the day by yourselves as well!
The Barn
The Carper Winery venue is so fun to photograph both inside and out. There are bistro lights inside and out adding visual interest. The venue has a very clean aesthetic, making it easy for you and your spouse to stand out in wedding photos! The balcony allows for unique photo opportunities both upstairs and downstairs.
