This Columbus Zoo wedding was wild! See what I did there? Chelsea and Ryan were an absolute pleasure to work with. It was raining on their wedding day but they were troopers and we made best with what mother nature gave us. We started with getting ready photos at the hotel. The hotel had dark walls which made for dramatic shots when contrasted with the light coming in from the windows.
After the hotel, we went to the zoo for Chelsea and Ryan’s first look. The first look location was where the ceremony would later be. This location had giraffes curiously checking out what we were up to. It was so awesome! From there, the bridal party and I went around and took photos around the zoo. It was raining a bit, but everyone was a good sport about the weather.
After we finished with the portrait portion of the day, everyone got cleaned up and ready for the ceremony! The changing weather made for a moody sky which was an awesome backdrop for this Columbus Zoo wedding.
When you have your wedding at the Columbus Zoo, the zoo allows for some up close and personal encounters with some of their animals. This was by far one of the highlights of my day! How cool is that shot of the penguin?! This little guy was actually let loose in cocktail hour which made for some pretty hilarious moments.
After the cocktail hour, we photographed speeches and the formal dances. We finished the dance floor with open dancing and had a blast celebrating the marriage of Chelsea and Ryan. Thank you so much for having me you two!
