Aloft Cleveland Wedding

Lauren and Justin

Lauren and Justin had the most beautiful Aloft Cleveland wedding a couple weeks ago and I was lucky enough to photograph their day! The day started off with both Lauren and Justin getting ready at the Aloft Hotel. After everyone was ready, we headed to the church where the wedding would take place. The wedding went off without a hitch. We were given a photographic treat in the form of a bubble send off. Bubble exits are so fun to shoot! After the ceremony, we headed downtown for portraits with the bridal party. The weather was about what you’d expect for mid-February. It was really cold and the wind wasn’t helping us at all.

I originally wanted to shoot right by the venue on this hill, but the hill had ice long the sidewalk. You can enjoy a good laugh looking at the groomsmen sliding down the hill in their slick dress shoes! We hopped in the bus and then headed to a flat ground location. Because of the weather, we did ten minutes outside and ten minutes on the bus repeatedly to keep everyone warm. Despite the weather, we captured some beautiful portraits!

After portraits, we headed back for the Aloft Cleveland wedding reception.
We had some extra time, so we made a creative lit portrait on the roof at blue hour. Lauren and Justin then went to cocktail hour where Lauren surprised Justin with an awesome groom’s cake. Then Eric did an awesome job announcing the bridal party into the reception. After the entrances, toasts were given. Dinner was served after the toasts. After dinner, Lauren and Justin had their first dance. Their first dance was followed by the Father/Daughter dance and Mother/Son dance. Lastly, the dance floor was open and a great time was had by all!
